I never used to be a big reader but all of a sudden over the last few years, I have been reading more than ever before. My goal is to read at least one book a week. It may sound like a big ask for you, or maybe not.
The other day I was shopping for books online and ended up putting about 20 in my basket and then I realized maybe I should only get a few so I decided on 5.
I love the feeling that books give you, they take you away to anywhere you want to go. Both fiction and non-fiction books can benefit people greatly.
Some of the benefits are:
–You will get smarter! Reading helps in every area of smarts. Those who read a lot tend to do better when it comes to life.
–You will become less stressed! When you are totally immersed in a book you don’t get a chance to think of all the worries in your life. I find it really helps when I’m trying to relax after a long day.
–Your memory will become better! Are you always forgetting where your keys are, what you have to do later and so on? Well reading can benefit you greatly if so, as long as you take in what you read and don’t just scan every page.
–It will help put your goals in focus! When I read my mind will drift to my life and the things I want to do. I find this happens a lot with fiction books when you are put in someone else’s shoes and you get to experience someone’s life in great detail/
