A brief introduction to meditation

Meditation teaches you to separate yourself from your emotions and be in complete control of your life.

For most people life is like a roller coaster, if something bad happens to them they tend to feel bad. When something “good” happens to them they get happy and optimistic again.

Meditation will help you realize that your emotions and feelings actually mean little, if anything.  YOU are the one who decides how you feel,outside influences shouldn’t decide how you feel. If you want to change your emotional state, all you have to do is tell yourself how to feel.

The best thing is that you can change how you feel for as little as 10-20 minutes per day. So many people care about how their bodies health is but tend to forget about their mental health.

There are many different ways to meditate. One of the easiest ways is to listen to meditation soundtracks while using headphones.

Here is a step by step guide:

-Sit on the floor with your legs crossed while keeping your back straight

-Clear your mind. Train your mind to focus on one thing at a time. When a thought comes to you, observe it, accept it, then let it pass without labeling it good or bad. Over time you get better at noticing and accepting them, which makes every day life so much better not letting thoughts or emotions run your life.
